The building is leased to various Government Agencies including the Police Station and Courthouse.
 
These buildings, which are very much the heart of the town and district, are most distinguished architecturally and very solidly constructed. Their age appearance and history are significant.
 
A very handsome, unified and harmonious collection of government offices, roofed in corrugated galvanised iron. The group is constructed in local stone, which blends with the countryside and is decorated with stucco window dressings and quoins, painted white. Includes Wardens Court, Mining Registrar's Office, Clerk of the Courts, Police Station, Native Welfare Office, Mines Department and Police Department Quarters.

This place was registered permanently in the WA Heritage Register on 1/10/2002. Refer to the State register for further information. (20/5/2003)
